Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and multi-skilled Business Support Administrator to join the Mid Devon Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) Community team based in Tiverton.

You will get job satisfaction in helping colleagues and patients efficiently and compassionately. The post is 22.5 hours per week, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Main duties of the job

The Business Support Administrator undertakes the administration of all tasks in supporting a team of clinical staff assessing and caring for patients within the community, these tasks will include answering telephones office and reception cover, typing of all correspondence, assessment letters, appointment and clinic letters, minuting of team meetings using Microsoft word, excel spreadsheets and updating our patient record system, SystmOne, triaging work via Choose and Book. Work is usually filtered via a shared email where all admin staff pick up tasks.

Experience

Essential

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change when required
  • Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information
  • Previous experience of working in a Healthcare or Social Care administrative setting

Desirable

  • Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes
  • Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills

Qualifications

Essential

  • RSA 3 Word Processing or equivalent level of experience in practice.
  • NVQ3 in administration or equivalent level administrative knowledge and experience
  • GCSE English or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development

Desirable

  • ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
  • Shorthand or Speedwriting
