Choose a career as a Healthcare Assistant at Devon Partnership NHS Trust

You can start your nursing career by joining us as a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant and depending on your role and prior experience you can follow the Healthcare Assistant career pathway. You’ll be fully supported to study whilst you work to gain the relevant qualification to move you along the pathway to becoming a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner, if you chose to continue to follow the pathway it can lead you to becoming a qualified Band 5 Staff Nurse.

As a Healthcare Assistant you play an essential role in supporting people’s recovery. On the ward you’ll be a named point of contact and spend the majority of your time with patients with the full back up of your team. There are also opportunities to work in our community teams.

Every day is different and varied and there’s nothing better than getting feedback from the people who use our services about the difference you’ve made to their lives.

You’ll be a valued member of our multi-disciplinary team, work in a supportive environment, have access to training and supervision and the opportunity to develop your career with us.
