In line with the latest evidence as well as local and national guidelines, mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity Pharmacy Professionals at DPT advocate for the best patient care and treatment.

98% of people under the care of mental health services will be receiving treatment with one or more medicines. This is why it is essential that at Devon Partnership NHS Trust, the Medicines Optimisation Team work together to enable people to use medicines safely and effectively; being the experts on medicines within our multi professional teams, services and the wider system.

There are many Pharmacy roles across the organisation, ranging from inpatient settings to community, acute to rehabilitation within a variety of specialisms. This wide ranging service, along with structured support, enables Pharmacy Professionals who work here to gain a rich and varied experience to further their career and themselves as individuals.

We are a successful and innovative organisation with exciting plans for the future. A new Learning Disability and Autism Unit is due to be completed this year in Dawlish and in the last few years we have opened a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - The Junipers, a Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) - Jasmine Lodge in Exeter and a new adult inpatient unit in Torbay - Salus Ward.
