Job Description:
We are currently looking for highly motivated, experienced and innovative Band 6 Psychiatric Nurse, Mental Health Social Workers or Occupational Therapist to join our CMHT.
Teign Core Mental Health Team are a dynamic, nurturing and supportive team where there is excellent peer support and opportunity for development. You will have a reasonably sized caseload and will also support our assessment function as well.
You will be involved in training, mentoring, and supervising new and unregistered staff as well as providing front-line clinical care, as well as working alongside our colleagues in primary care and the VCSE
Main duties of the job
Teign Core Mental Health Team provides compassionate, kind and recovery-focused care to our patients, carers and their families.
You will need to be able to work autonomously in the community and use your own initiative. The successful candidates will have sound clinical skills, with a desire to continue their development as the team grows.
You will also need good assessment and communication skills.
There will be lots of shadowing/training opportunities to help you develop in the role and you will need to work alongside other agencies to promote holistic recovery-focused care.

- Experience of working in a mental health setting
- Assessment of people presenting with mental health issues
- Assessment and management of clinical risk
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team

- Experience of delivering evidenced based psycho/social interventions
Qualifications
Essential
- Hold a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social worker Professional qualification
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
- Diploma level specialist training or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable
- Teaching/training qualification
- Psychological therapy qualification
