Devon Partnership NHS Trust is looking for a Principal Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, or a Psychological Therapist to join our Core Community Adult Mental Health Team, based at Wonford House. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior clinical role in a service that is committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centred care.
Preceptorship Opportunity - Band 7 Applicants Welcome
If you are newly qualified, or close to qualification, and interested in this role but do not yet meet the requirements for an 8a post, we welcome applications for a Band 7 preceptorship role. This would be a developmental position with a structured plan and support to progress to Band 8a once competencies are demonstrated.
This post will be offered at 0.7wte (26 hours per week) Band 8a or 0.8 wte (30 hours per week) band 7
As a Principal Psychologist or Psychological Therapist, youll provide clinical leadership, assessment, formulation and therapy for adults with a range of complex mental health needs. Youll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to support individuals in their recovery, using evidence-based psychological approaches tailored to individual need.
You will:
Provide highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions
Offer consultation and supervision to other team members
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
Support the development and delivery of psychologically-informed care across the team
Be part of a welcoming psychology community with strong links to the University of Exeter and local specialist services
