The post holder will be based at St Johns Court, Exmouth and will be line managed by the Consultant Psychiatrist within the team. They will be responsible for carrying a small caseload, would be expected to support colleagues with complex cases and provide prescribing advice.
The post holder will be expected to cover days at Devon Memory Service (DMS).
In the absence of senior colleagues the post holder will be responsible for leading team meetings. They will also need to support with triaging new patients to the team.
As a prescriber in the team the post holder will be expected to support in the prescribing needs of care homes and support in decision making for our new Post Diagnostic Follow Up (PDFU) Service.
The post holder will monitor and lead improvements of standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, implementation of evidence based practice, teaching and support of colleagues and professional leadership.
